I just got back from the a really nice evening spent at Little Italy with my girls. Cooking lessons, food, CHEESE and wine. I love Little Italy, it’s probably the few restaurants that is vegetarian and I like it.
Today they organised wine tasting for women and I obviously had to go. Though the cooking lessons were fine, the wine appreciation presentation was a little boring. We probably were too excited for the food and wine.
The cheese platter was beautiful, the ravioli good, though I didn’t really enjoy the risotto. The wine and cheese was perfect.
It was quite a great initiative by Sula and Little Italy. The cooking class was interesting for women enthusiastic about food. The only disappointing part was when one of the presenters said that “now your boyfriends and husbands would be happy because you can cook good Italian food for them”. I don’t understand why link women cooking and making men happy? We’ve come to celebrate a day for women but we still have a long way to go.
